Projects

Amanda Energy Limited's personnel have worked on significant projects, including the following:
Ghana Aluminum Industry

Worked with Kenesjay Systems Limited to prepare project documentation related to the establishment of an integrated aluminum industry in Ghana as part of downstream development from the country's natural gas processing. The project would have included an alumina refinery to support a 450,000MT/year metal in two phases; associated plants to convert at least 250,000MT/year into downstream value-added products; a dedicated 600 MW combined cycle gas-fired electrical power plant.

Sabaneta Oil Refinery

Promoted the Sabaneta Oil Refinery with the relevant ministries and state authorities in Trinidad and Tobago on behalf of SORECO Limited. Successfully secured the refinery site and various other approvals for SORECO. Sabaneta's modular plan included a crude oil, product and chemical terminal, a combined cycle co-generation plant, an associated multi-stage flash desalting plant, ballast and waste water treatment facility and a plant to process and recover natural gas liquids.

Green Energy Demonstration Project

The Green Energy Demonstration Project (GEDP) was Phase 1 in the establishment of a Green Energy Center (GEC) at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. GEC will focus on alternative energy generation as well as efficient and environmentally responsible use of energy (including recycling) , regardless of its source.

The demonstration project involved the design and building/assembly of examples of Alternative Energy Generation and Green use of energy to:

Promote the study of these technologies within UTT

Achieve public educational outreach on Alternative/Green Energy

Foster industry partnerships

Recycling/Exporting Used Vehicles and Construction Equipment

AEL has on ongoing project to "recycle" vehicles and construction equipment from Hong Kong to countries with less developed economies. The Hong Kong market favors high quality vehicles and due to annual inspection regulations, good quality road surfaces and small geographical area; used vehicles are often in excellent condition relative to cars of a similar age in other countries. Viewed from a global perspective, there are tremendous energy and material costs that are saved by extending the use of this machinery as opposed to manufacturing new units. The lower prices also help the less developed countries to acquire much needed vehicles and equipment while saving Hong Kong substantial financial and energy costs that would have been required to dispose of these units - Win Win!
